The driveshaft is the part which gave the business its name – and at Shaftec, we’ve been remanufacturing them in the UK for more than 25 years.
What is it? The driveshaft is a component of the drive train in a vehicle.
Where is it? It is located next to the car’s wheels.
What does it do? The purpose of the driveshaft is to deliver torque from the transmission to the differential, which then transmits this torque to the wheels which allow the vehicle to move.

We remanufacture our SELECT driveshaft programme under the strictest of conditions. Each driveshaft is stripped right back to the bare bones and inspected to ensure that there are no defects.
If it passes our stringent inspection process, it is then remanufactured to the original state an reassembled by hand using new ancillary parts – that’s brand-new CV joints, boots, grease and clips.
After assembly each part is inspected to ensure it meets our quality standards

Shaftec has made further additions to its New To Range portfolio, with 13 driveshafts, two brake calipers, one steering rack and one steering column joining the range.
Shaftec has expanded its New To Range portfolio even further with the addition of 16 new brake callipers and six driveshafts.
Following the addition of brake calipers and a propshaft in January, Shaftec’s New To Range portfolio has grown even further with 114 new driveshafts.
Introducing a further 15 remanufactured brake caliper references and one steering pump to our ever-growing portfolio.
