What is it? Also known as Half Shafts, Axle Shafts are an essential part of a vehicle’s drivetrain. The Axle Shaft transmits rotational power from the transmission into the wheels.
What does it do? Axle Shafts are responsible for transferring torque while accommodating the up-and-down motion of the suspension system. In vehicles with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the Axle Shafts connect the transmission to the front wheels. In rear-wheel drive vehicles, they connect the differential to the rear wheels.
Where is it located? Within the drivetrain of the vehicle, housed within the wheel assemblies on the underside of the vehicle.
At launch, the Axle Shaft range caters to applications from 2007 onwards, for popular vehicles such as the Mercedes Sprinter and VW Crafter. We intend to expand our Axle Shaft range over time, based on customer demand and feedback.
