Building on the skill & experience of two men who worked out of a backyard in Birmingham remanufacturing automotive parts for one Vehicle Manufacturer, the Shaftec brand was introduced in 1995.
To put this into context, in 1995, there was no Google, Facebook, YouTube or Twitter and only 1% of the global population had access to the internet. Fast forward and there are now more than 5 billion active users on the internet, across 15 billion mobile devices.
Shaftec is now firmly established as the UK’s strongest & most experienced remanufacturer and supplier of Drive, Steer & Stop parts for the UK & European independent aftermarket – catering for more than 53 global vehicle manufacturers.
Availability and range are key to our success. Not only do we lead the way in the development of remanufactured Electric Power Steering (EPS) – but are further expanding across Europe and have just launched a new complementary product programme of propshafts. This is our first new product programme in 10 years. And this is deliberate.
Our growth and success is testament to our smart thinking and careful expansion programme.
We’ve come a long way, and we’re very proud of this. But we’re now ready to go even further.
