It serves as a central hub for detailed, up-to-date information on a vast array of automotive parts, facilitating seamless communication and transactions within the industry.
At Shaftec, we recognise the pivotal role that TecDoc plays in our operations. Being a Premier Data Supplier means that our catalogue data meets the stringent standards set by TecDoc and TecAlliance. We have been working closely with the Elcome team using its Xchecker Cataloguing System to achieve Premier Data Supplier status, and this achievement is a testament to our dedication to providing not just accurate, but premium-quality data to our customers.

Being a Premier Data Supplier on TecDoc’s platform means that our data aligns with the highest industry standards, enabling us to contribute to a more efficient and streamlined automotive ecosystem.
Steve Healy, our Technical Cataloguer, has played a vital role in this achievement. His diligence and the hard work of our Catalogue Team have elevated Shaftec to being ranked the UK’s number one for vehicle parc coverage in the following product groups: Driveshafts, Brake Calipers, Steering Racks, Steering Pumps, and Steering Columns. Of particular note are our driveshaft programme which comes in at almost 10 percent higher than the next leading competitor, and our caliper programme which achieves 96.65 percent UK coverage.

Shaftec has been working closely with the Elcome team using its Xchecker Cataloguing System to deliver its information to TecDoc since 2016. To achieve TecDoc’s Premier Data Supplier status requires a company to meet 13 Key performance Indicators (KPIs) consistently and to a 99 percent minimum degree of accuracy. This performance is reviewed every quarter to retain the status title.
