Shaftec welcomes two new apprentices to EPS team

At Shaftec, we believe in investing in the future, and nothing embodies this commitment more than welcoming new apprentices into our team. On Monday 9th September, we were thrilled to have two fresh faces, Jacob and Finley, join our Electric Power Steering (EPS) Department as engineering fitter apprentices.

Both Jacob and Finley have just completed their time at school, achieving the necessary GCSEs to embark on their careers with us. Their journey toward becoming skilled engineers begins now, and we couldn’t be more excited to support them every step of the way.

Our apprentices will receive hands-on training from our experienced and talented team right here on site. Additionally, they will be supported by MAKE UK, a renowned organisation specialising in manufacturing and engineering apprenticeship training. This combination of practical, on-the-job experience and expert-guided education ensures that Jacob and Finley are set up for success in their future careers.

This week marks their induction period, during which they will be familiarising themselves with the team and the environment at Shaftec. This is the first step in what promises to be an enriching and fulfilling journey towards becoming qualified engineers.

Operations Manager Andrew Ferber has expressed his delight in welcoming Jacob and Finley to Shaftec. As an ex-apprentice himself, Andy knows firsthand the immense value that apprenticeships bring, not only to the individuals but also to the business as a whole. His own experience has made him a strong advocate for our apprenticeship programme, and he played a pivotal role in selecting the right candidates who align with the growth and values of our company.

We are proud to welcome Jacob and Finley to Shaftec and wish them all the best as they embark on this exciting new chapter with us. Their journey is just beginning, and we are confident that they will grow into exceptional engineers, contributing to the continued success of our team!
