Shaftec Team Takes the Plunge for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice

The daring team includes Steven Healy, Jason Henry, Max Chatwin, and Adrian Kitchen. These four Shaftec colleagues are taking on this thrilling challenge as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting Zoe’s Place.

Last year, Shaftec colleagues participated in a range of fundraising activities for the hospice. This year, they have set an ambitious target of £6,600 to help cover the £3,300 per day it costs to run the vital facility.

For the skydive, each team member will be harnessed to the front of a fully qualified instructor. From a height of 14,000 feet, they will freefall at terminal velocity, reaching speeds of up to 120mph, before floating gently to the ground under the parachute for around five minutes.

It’s an adrenaline-fueled challenge that will test the team’s nerves, but they are determined to make it a success and raise as much money as possible for Zoe’s Place. The hospice provides incredible palliative, respite and end-of-life care for babies and infants with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

The team said: “We all would like to thank you in advance for any donations and support. Donating is simple, fast and totally secure, and once you donate, your money will be sent directly to such a wonderful charity.

“We are feeling a mix of nerves and excitement for this skydive, but it’s all for an incredible cause. We are proud to support Zoe’s Place and all the work they do for young children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We hope this endeavour helps us to reach our fundraising target as soon as possible!”
